WELCOME.
The purpose of this website is to catalogue, review and enjoy old-skool gangster movies from the 30s and 40s.
The two stars I have concentrated on are Edward G Robinson and Jimmy Cagney; the reason for this is that I like 'em, they're my favourites. Some of the films featured here don't concern mobsters but they have a certain appeal due to the talents and charisma of the actors and directors involved.
There are more authoritative websites, complete and encyclopœdic in their gangster movie trivia, so I have not tried to compete with them. This is an informal, personal journey and I hope my joy and curiosity rubs off on you while you surf here.
