TWO SECONDS.
Edward
G Robinson & Preston Foster,

Dir: Mervyn Le Roy, 1932,
Warner Bros.
SYNOPSIS:
Dark,
heavy-hearted drama as a killer considers his life in the last two seconds
before the switch gets thrown at his execution.
"He went
to work with Le Roy again on what he hoped would be better vehicle, the
story of sour murderer who unrepentant about murdering his wife and dies
in the electric chair. It was not a good film. Today, Le Roy has no memory
of it."
- Alan Gansberg, E G Robinson biographer.
REVIEWS:
"General
slowness and stodgy overdramatics won't draw the flaps, nor will a tragic
finalé help."
- Variety.
"A film that compels attention."
- Mordaunt Hall, New York Times.
