Varied themes are encouraged; anti-war, satirical, pastiches of old, propaganda war comics & films, factual, educational & hardhitting or with fictional universal themes. Weirder, more surreal strips & illustrations & more lighthearted ones are also encouraged.
Strips can be about overseas conflict, the arms trade , globalisation, media or even inner conflicts that people wrestle with day to day. Fictional stories...anything that is challenging & interesting. Illustrations are also acceptable. The hope is to create an intelligent, challenging anthology to promote awareness & express strong views but also to entertain & be diverse without being overly preachy. It is hoped that people will recognise that this project is to help support a worthwhile organisation committed to fighting the global armstrade, and in the spirit of goodwill will contribute something for it.

"TALES OF TERROR"
SUBMISSIONS REQUIRED:
"Tales of Terror" is a new Paper Tiger Horror Theme anthology.
The anthology is to be a mixture of scary & original horror stories & more tongue-in-cheek, or satirical art.
The subject matter is broad. Content can include psychological horror, paranormal/ supernatural,creatures etc, & also homage style strips (B-movie style horror stories & art are welcome, as are EC style strips).
Zombies, demons, ghosts, serial killers, stalkers, war, werewolves, satan, witches, ghouls, halloween, sadists,dungeons, headless horseman, brain sucking aliens, genetic mutations, H P Lovecraft-esque demon-gods....even hairy toast...all are welcomesubject matter or whatever else depravity you can think up.
The weirder, more bizarre, clever & innovative the better, it would be good to push the envelope in terms of ideas, quality & art.
The anthology will be A5 grayscale/black & white with colour cover..
Contributors are allowed up to 7 pages for a strip. full page illustrations are welcome too

latest news update 20/11/05: BRIGHTON COMICS EXPO WEEKEND: A great success! We had a stall there & met a variety of comics publishers, many of whom were small press. Much swapping of comics, wearing costumes and daftness. My favourite moments included the dancing ape on the 'monkey might puke' stall (great gimmick guys), the comedy dalek, Gilbert Sheldon drawing Fat Freddy's Cat for me & meeting and discovering some fantastic new comic creators (watch the reviews pages over the next few months for details of their comics).
